Is An Intensive Right for Us?
The Couple Formula Intensive is right for the two of you:
if you are in a committed relationship and are ready to work better together as a couple.
if your relationship is a two person primary dyad. While The Couple Formula is open to all types of relationship structures, the intensive program best serves a primary dyad.
if you are interested in better understanding yourself and your partner and are open to learning and growing. Being vulnerable and open to change is imperative in this process.
if you have the time and the financial resources to commit to 2 intensive days of therapy, 60 days of small daily exercises, and three follow up sessions with your practitioner.
if you value a therapeutic perspective based on neuroscience, human development, attachment, and personal growth.
A Couple Formula Intensive is not right for you:
if you are not sure you want to stay together.
if one or both of you have an active addiction to drugs, alcohol or pornography or are struggling with an active eating disorder. These issues are best dealt with in ongoing regular couple’s therapy.
if either of you has an untreated severe mood disorder or suffers from a major mental illness such as, but not limited to schizophrenia and any schizoaffective disorder, dissociative disorder, and psychotic disorder. The intensive structure can be too activating for certain mental health issues and virtual coaching is not sufficient support when managing these issues therapeutically in your relationship.
if one or both members of the couple are actively suicidal or struggle with regular suicidal ideation.
if there is active domestic violence occurring in the relationship. This includes physical harm, threats, and intimidation as well as psychological harm and intimidation. Domestic abuse is a self-regulation issue and, untreated, could compromise the outcome of the intensive.

We believe that secure relationships are the foundation of a healthy life. When our relationship is tended to with mutual understanding, care, and respect, every other aspect of our lives becomes easier. We created The Couple Formula with this basic tenet in mind.
