Eldorado Canyon, just 10 miles from downtown Boulder. Renowned for their Spring water and their outdoor pool, also great hiking and climbing
Too many trails in the area to mention. Some personal favorites: 1st/2nd Flatiron Hike, Bear Peak, Mount Sanitas
Nightlife:
Trident Cafe, lots of small local bands, open mic nights and variety shows. Fringe and fun.
The Fox Theater, on the Hill, check their website for lots of alternative live music shows
The Boulder Theater, live music of all genres, check out their calendar
Chautauqua, one of only 2 left in the country, summer and early fall concerts and programs (silent films on Wednesday nights with live piano) in an old auditorium.
E-town, a local non-profit music adventure. Sometimes they even have Sunday hippy church, check out their calendar.
Press-Play, an arcade (skee ball anyone?) and bar, turns into a dance club later in the night. Sticky, sweaty fun
The Sundowner, pool and beer. It's an old standby hole in the wall.
Spiritual centers and yoga:
There are numerous yoga studios to choose from in Boulder. You can find them on-line and choose the style of yoga you prefer.
Trident, the oldest and wisest of them all, includes a book store.
Spruce Confections, super yummy treats
