Analisa Macias MA LPC has been in private practice in Boulder, Colorado for over 25 years. With degrees in both Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado and Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from the Naropa University, she thrives on understanding the relationship between neurochemistry, neurological development, and behavior. She combines the rigors of developmental and attachment theories with neurosomatic techniques like EMDR, Brainspotting and PACT to guide individuals and couples toward healthier moods, behaviors and relationships.
Analisa is also a creative and an empath. She prioritizes spirituality, creativity, nature and interpersonal relationships in her own life and in her role as a therapist and coach. She is a mother of two teenage boys and always inspired to understand how modern society influences development and behavior. Never bored, she studies human behavior with scientific, sociologic and spiritual interest. She loves to be moved by art, music, poetry and film and can never get enough time in nature.
Analisa is a Certified PACT therapist (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) and consultant. She is also trained in Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Archeology, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Brainspotting. She is the co-founder of Energetic Counseling training and has taught undergraduate and graduate level Developmental Psychology.
